      In order to analyze and compare the strength of universities in the field of engineering, we selected the indicators that can reflect the level of engineering in the 2022 China University Ranking Evaluation System, and compared the construction of universities in the field of engineering.
     Soft Science 2022 China Engineering Strength Class A University List
     Soft Science 2022, China's Top 100 Engineering Universities, is born. We divide it into two categories:
     China's A-Plus universities in Engineering strength: Top 20 in China in engineering strength (equivalent to the top 2% of universities with scores in engineering field);
     A University with engineering strength in Soft Science: 21~100 universities in China with engineering strength (equivalent to 2%~10% of universities with scores in engineering field).

清华大学不负众望夺得冠军,凭借14个A+学科在中国大学工科实力评级中一枝独秀,在学科规模、学科实力、学科精度、高端人才、科研项目、重大成果、学术论文和科研平台8个评价维度包揽全国第一,可谓工科领域的“大满贯选手”。浙江大学、上海交通大学、哈尔滨工业大学、北京航空航天大学紧随其后,分列第二到第五。华中科技大学、西安交通大学、天津大学、东南大学、大连理工大学位居全国前十,北京理工大学、华南理工大学、西北工业大学、中南大学等工科强校也都榜上有名。

 

工科传统强校占据了软科中国工科实力A+大学20个席位中的绝大多数,可谓霸榜刷屏。清华大学、浙江大学、上海交通大学的工科实力毋庸置疑。“八大工学院”——西北工学院(今西北工业大学)、大连工学院(今大连理工大学)、华南工学院(今华南理工大学)、华北大学工学院(今北京理工大学)、南京工学院(今东南大学)、东北工学院(今东北大学)、成都工学院(今四川大学)、华中工学院(今华中科技大学)也是老牌工科院校的代表。

 

其中,北京航空航天大学的航空宇航科学与技术、华中科技大学的光学工程、西安交通大学的动力工程与工程热物理、天津大学的化学工程与技术、东南大学的建筑学、同济大学的土木工程、华南理工大学的轻工技术与工程、北京理工大学的兵器科学与技术、中南大学的冶金工程都是响当当的工科王牌学科。

文理类高校建设新工科

 

北京大学和南京大学两所文理综合高校在高手如云的工科领域“走出了一条不寻常的道路”,分别排在第15名和第25名。

 

北京大学一直是新工科的探路者,第四轮学科评估中,北京大学的力学、计算机科学与技术两个工学学科被评为A+。

 

纵观北京大学的工科发展历史,1952年的院系调整中,北京大学的工学院被整建制取消,工学相关系科调整到其他兄弟院校,仅保留数学力学专业。改革开放后,北京大学陆续布局了计算机、信息科学、软件工程、微电子等新兴工科专业。2005年,利用自身强大的理科、医科以及人文学科的综合学科优势,重新组建工学院,设立能源与资源工程系、生物医学工程系、先进材料与纳米技术系、工业工程管理系,探索有别于传统工科的新型工程技术学科发展之路。

 

近年来,北京大学更是立足前沿交叉工程学科,瞄准未来技术前沿、全球重大挑战和国家特大需求,建立人工智能研究院、能源研究院、未来技术学院、集成电路学院,建设“新而精”的一流新工科。
